1. Do you remember your first day?
Of course! Things end, but memories last forever! It was my first ever Corporate job and memories of that day are still vivid. I came to iOPEX for a direct walk-in, among 200+ candidates and was shortlisted for a project in consumer operations on 15th July 2011. There was a warm welcome by the HR team with a welcome kit & offer letter, followed by an induction session by Mr. Krishnan Rangi. I still get that excitement of remembering that I got selected in my first job interview, taking this as an opportunity to thank iOPEX for inducting me into this family.

2. How has your job changed over the years?
With baby steps, I have completed 9 years with the iOPEX family, starting from an individual contributor to a managerial role with the guidance of my empowering managers Sudhakar, Silvan & Balamurali, and last but not least by Loyal friends, Sivabalan and Thangapandi!
Joined as a ‘Trainee - System Security Specialist’ in the S.Com project (TCO) and learned a lot of technical aspects of windows, troubleshooting and then moved up the ladder to an ‘Escalation Lead’ with the guidance of my Managers, which was my first step in people management and leadership. After this stint. I received an opportunity to move a project in (DAOC) with the same appellation. In 2016, I was promoted as a ‘Team Lead’ where I have learned team motivation and customer handling. Now whilst working as a ‘Team Manager’ from 2019 for multiple projects, we received an opportunity to learn Ad operations, Workforce management and Operations skills and I still have a lot to learn and I still have to groom myself better.

3. What has been your biggest achievement/success?
To me, my greatest accomplishment was grooming my team and making them eligible for all opportunities across the organization. I am very proud that people working across other projects in DAOC and divisions like SES, IT & NOC have their roots from the projects I have worked on.

4. What’s your favourite part of the job?
There are many to list, but my most favourite part is being a part of the interview panel and hiring the right talent for DAOC. So far, I have interviewed 300+ candidates for various positions across the division. Like a cherry on the cake, seeing my recruits learn and grow, adds more exhilaration to me.

5. What is your proudest moment at iOPEX?
I was proud when I got a ‘Loyalty award’ at iOPEX Annual day’2017 for working for more than 5 years with iOPEX from the hands of our ‘Chairman & Chief Mentor’ Mr. Shiv Kumar.

6. What are 3 words to describe our company?
Inspiration Opportunities & Exploration

7. How has iOPEX helped you in your career development?
iOPEX has always helped employees acquire the necessary skills at the right time. I have been through a lot of technical, leadership and soft-skill training. One thing to highlight here is an opportunity which I received to attend the ‘Business Communication Skills’ training from ‘British Council’ sponsored by iOPEX, which helped me move up the ladder.

8. How do you balance your career at iOPEX and family?
By being flexible. Sometimes we must lean more towards work and sometimes the focus should be on family by spending quality time, but at any point in time, never compromise one for the other.

9. What advice would you give to recent new hires?
One piece of advice for new hires would be to learn new technologies and be adaptable for new challenges.
